The stunningly powerful Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport may have set a new world speed record a couple of weeks ago at the VW Group’s Ehra-Lessein proving grounds in Germany, but (as it turns out) the supercar is still being tested on normal roads. Our colleagues at Diariomotor came across an undisguised example of the Super Sport hanging out with two more “standard” Veyrons somewhere in Spain and made this amazing video.

This special edition Veyron Super Sport comes with four enlarged turbochargers and super-size intercoolers pushing the output of the 8.0-liter W16 engine to a mind-boggling 1200 bhp and 1500 Nm of peak torque.

Even though the Super Sport was clocked at 431.07 km/h (268 mph) in Germany, the production model’s top speed will be electronically limited to 415 km/h (258.1 mph) to protect the tires. The flagship Veyron model will go into production in a limited series this fall.
