The new Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic was unveiled at the 2009 Geneva International Motor Show. Granted most of those who want one will never afford it. But anyone who has access to the Internet will be able to appreciate its elegance and sport by clicking on this promotional video that was shot on location in Cape Town.
Maserati has unveiled their new GranTurismo S Automatic coupe at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Designed to offer unparalleled performance in an everyday package, the new model delivers high-speed thrills with the enhanced comfort of an automatic transmission.
Some of the significant differences between the GranTurismo S Automatic and the standard GranTurismo are the revised Skyhook suspension system that features continuously adjustable dampers, sportier side sills, and new 20″ wheels with Trident design. Interior changes are minor but include standard Bluetooth connectivity and newly optional iPod integration.
In this short video Maserati shows the exclusive Genuine Accessories available for the Maserati GranTurismo S. The Maserati Genuine project was established with the aim of emphasising the availability of Maserati spare parts and accessories. This developed the image of the product range, leading to the diffusion of its value-added authenticity and reliability.
Some of the most notable extras include: various options for the front grille, brake calipers in six different colours, a limited edition portable TomTom sat-nav, and a personalised luggage set.
This is the GranTurismo S accessorised with Maserati’s MC Sport Line, an option package designed to personalise your car with aerodynamic and mechanical extras. It’s been developed through the experience Maserati has acquired on the racing track. The “MC Sport Line” package will be available for the entire GranTurismo range and will be extended to the entire Maserati production line-up during the course of 2009. The car has made its premiere at the Bologna Motor Show in Italy.
Next to getting a matching look with the performance, the package is not only about looks. Next to the extensive use of carbon fibre for spoilers, side skirts and central panels, the upgraded car will get stiffer springs, shocks and anti-roll bars all around. By lowering the ride height with 10mm the roll center and center of gravity is lowered for further improved handling, and the new suspension is synchronized with Maserati’s unique Stability Program software.
Maserati has announced that the upgrades are available as part of the MC Sport Line package, or seperately, to tailor for personal tastes of the customer.
