2011 Subaru Outback

2011 Subaru Outback

There are already some cars in America that offer in-car Wifi, and now Subaru can be added to that list. The Japanese automaker has put WiFi on the options list of the 2011 Subaru Outback for the fairly standard price of $499 as a dealer-installed option. You’ll receive an encrypted connection good within 150 feet of the car, and it can be used while the car is in motion. The subscription is $29 per month after that, and Subaru is gracious enough to even pick up the first three months for you. Follow the jump for the full press release.

Subaru Legacy Concept will be revealed at Detroit Auto Show

no comment Posted by onlydreamcars

At the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, Subaru will unveil the Legacy Concept to celebrate the model’s 20th anniversary. The concept most likely indicates the new styling of the future models, which is why we see the new headlight design and the square grill. We’re a little unsure about the fender flares on the concept, because they seem a bit too large for a mid-size sedan. Stay tuned, more information will follow next month.

Subaru Dex: Badge-Engineering At its Worst

no comment Posted by onlydreamcars

If you recognise the Daihatsu COO (marketed as the Materia in Europe) in the above picture that is because the new Subaru Dex is in fact the same vehicle. There’s really nothing ‘Subaru’ about this car, except the badge.

The compact-size hatchback goes on sale only in Japan with a 1.3-liter (non-boxer of course) 4-cylinder engine that’s offered exclusively with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Buyers will be able to choose between FWD and AWD versions.
