Carlsson has finally released details regarding the amazing SL CK63 RS which first debuted at the Essen Motor Show.

The new tuner car is based on the Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG, with a reworked V8 engine to produce 600 bhp and 705 Nm of torque. The SL CK63 RS shoots to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds while the fore mentioned SL 63 AMG is a little slower at 4.5 seconds. The vehicle’s top speed has been increased to 325 km/h (202 mph).

Carlsson engineers also threw in several other performance minded changes including an electronic lowering C-Tronic suspension, a high-performance carbon composite braking system, and ultra light 20-inch wheels outfitted with high-performance Dunlop SP SportMaxx tires.

German pricing starts at a rather pricey €272,500 - but what can you expect from cars as exclusive as this.

Skoda has recently been facelifting its models and now the Octavia RS has been added to that list. The new Octavia RS+ was officially unveiled at the Essen Motor Show. The car’s sporty look has been intensified with a new front spoiler, rear black diffuser and black alloys, but its engines remain the same. The five-door hatch keeps its 200hp 2.0-litre turbo engine and 2.0 TDI of 170hp is kept too.

The piano black is carried through in the interior as well. Interior comes two-toned for the concept car; black and red. This is used on the bucket-seats, door panels and triple-coated leather steering wheel. Dashboard and door panels are further accentuated in a carbon-fiber look.
The new Skoda Octavia RS is expected to go on sale mid-2009.

At the Essen Motor Show, Audi officially unveiled the new R8 LMS. It’s a GT3-spec motorsport racing car, aimed at privateer teams. The mid-mounted engine generates 500 bhps, and all power goes to the rear wheels via a six-speed gearbox. As you can see, the big carbon fiber front splitter, a gigantic rear wing, and a rear diffuser are all part of the transformation from road car to race machine. Customer deliveries begin in Autumn 2009, and the price is set at  €260,000 (plus VAT). - See the video after the break! -

You might be wondering, but yes, the 900 stands for 900 horsepower. Something utterly wonderful is happening within the engine bay of this tuned car. The twin turbos added to the Carrera GT give the 9ff GTT 900 about 300 (!!) more hp than the standard - whatever you could call ‘ standard’ - production version.

9ff have successfully managed to keep the car a secret until it’s official revealing at the Essen Motor Show. Next to the combined red and matte black paintjob, the car comes with a reworked bodykit featuring cut-out front wheel wells and a fixed rear wing.

Unfortunately it may just all be for show, as there are no details on pricing or if this car will ever be on sale..

Over the past years, it has become clear that the window between releases of new models and tuner versions has pretty much disappeared. This means that, except these pictures from the 2008 Essen Motor Show,  we don’t expect to get many more details about the new Lorinser GLK. 

It’s rather remarkable how the tuner has managed to change the looks of this otherwise boxy model. Especially the side skirts and spoiler help to realise that softening touch. Furthermore, you’ll immediately notice the mesh grille and the underside skit plate.

At the Essen Motor show, on November 28, ABT Sportsline will show to the public their tuning package of the new VW Scirocco.
