RENNtech, the rivals of BRABUS, have created a Mercedes SL 65 AMG with WARP Speed Option. Last week BRABUS unveiled a tuned version of the Tesla roadster which featured a “space sound generator” that can creating the sound of a V8, or simulate the Warp and Beam sounds. Now RENNtech is on the counter-attack with a photo of what can only be described as a very tacky Mercedes SL 65 AMG that they claim can hit WARP speed.
An anonymous insider close to RENNtech said: “We were very surprised to see that there was another tuner working on a warp option - and they have set the bar very high for other tuners looking to compete with a warp product. The message is clear: anyone who wants to tune cars in the 21st century will need more LEDs.”

Here are the first offiicial pictures of the Aston Martin Rapide, the new four-door super saloon. This computer-generated rendering from Aston reveals the final production form of its new Rapide saloon.
There have been a few minor tweaks here and there, but nothing major. At the front, the production car has lost the concept’s quad air intakes, instead making do with a double-decker grille.
Down the sides, there’s now a strong crease that runs from the front wing vent through both doors, while the fuel filler cap is now body-coloured rather than chrome.
The rear features a redesigned bumper and bootlid, with a chrome strip running between the rear lights to split up the mass of bodywork on the rump.
We’ve yet to see inside the Rapide, but from our image you can see the cabin is lifted from the DB9, will be bathed in light from the full-length glass sunroof, while the rear passengers will be kept entertained by televisions in the front headrests. - Watch the video for this entry after the break -

What you see here is a leaked picture of the NSX’s see-through technical makeup, the stuff under the skin if you like.
NSX will be in the showrooms in late 2009. Looking at the figures, the NSX is targetting supercars like the Ferrari F430 and the Porsche 911 GT3. In order to do stand a chance, the NSX gets its power of a 5.5-litre V10 whose cylinders which will generate a great 560bhp/ 417kW through a sequential gearbox with paddleshifters.

A Japanese brochure blunder has caused Lexus to seemingly leak pictures of its new RX, ahead of the car’s launch. We weren’t supposed to see the 4×4 until the November 2008 LA auto show, but we’ve got the photos of the new Lexus RX for you to see.
If these are the genuine pictures, the new RX differs little from older model. As is the trend for 4×4s, the new RX appears to be longer and wider, possibly to accommodate a third row of seats. Also expect a development of Lexus’s advanced front lighting system, the pictures revealing multiple light clusters, within the headlamps.
The new RX’s interior, however, is recognisably different - with a cockpit showing sweeping lines and big information displays.

The Dutch site Autoweek.nl has revealed the following sketches of Audi’s future models, either as a leak or as a non-official. It is unclear how they acquired these images.
Nevertheless, the sketches reveal Audi’s future portfolio to include the 2009 A5 Cabriolet and its 5-door hatchback-coupe sibling called the A5 Sportback, the 2011 A7 four-dour coupe (which will compete against Merc’s CLS) along with the next generation 2010 A8 luxury sedan. - continued -

The new Macca is still at least 18 months away from production and won’t be launched before 2010, we hear. That leaves time for McLaren to finish its SLR project, which it co-developed with Mercedes-Benz and is now in its twilight years.
The final SLR will be built in 2009 and the project wound up – leaving space and time for the launch of the P11. We’ll see the final, run-out SLR version – the speedster codenamed Z199 and scooped here – at the 2009 Detroit motor show, concluding the triumvirate of SLR models.
McLaren is turning to partner Mercedes-Benz for a roadgoing V8. Merc has a shareholding in the McLaren group, so it makes sense to look to Germany. We’re still not certain which engine will be used, but the AMG 6.2-litre V8 is top of the list. One source suggested it could even be turbocharged.
The P11 will stick to the supercar-pure mid-engined, rear-drive layout and there will be plenty of emphasis on the links from F1 to road. We know the new McLaren will use ceramic brake discs, for instance.
