Performance tuner Shelby American has announced a new power upgrade package for the 2011 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake.
Shelby worked together with Ford Racing to increase the power output to 800 bhp, which is a whopping 75 bhp more than the 2010 Super Snake. In addition, new anthracite wheels, white stripes and new side scoops were added to further set the 2011 Super Snake apart from previous generations. If 800 bhp is a bit too much for you, the Super Snake is also available in a 660 bhp and a 750 bhp version.
The price tag of the 800 bhp package hasn’t been announced yet, but the 750 hp package is $30,245 including installation but without car.

Runimation Studios on behalf of Pagani Automobili has released this stunning new video for the Pagani Zonda Tricolore.
The Zonda Tricolore was created as a tribute to the Italian National Aerobatic Team known as Frecce Tricolori (meaning Tricolour Arrows in Italian).
While based on the Zonda Cinque, the Tricolore has some distinctive differences. The front end features special LED lights that look like the tail fin of an airplane. The Tricolore has a new air intake as well, in the shape of a small vertical fin on top of the engine cover. A clear blue lacquer coating and Frecce Tricori-mimicking strips running on the sides of the car complete the impressive body look.
Earlier this year, at the Geneva Auto Show, this Zonda Tricolore was unveiled with a price tag of €1.3 million.
A rare classic Aston Martin DB 2/4 Mk 111 drophead coupe which lay under a tarpaulin on a driveway with the keys in the ignition for 30 years has sold at auction for over £200,000.
The 1958 model was first registered to David Brown, who owned Aston Martin and whose ”DB” initials continue to this day.
The car, which is one of only 84 ever made, was stored on a trailer under a tarpaulin for 30 years by its previous owner – after it ran out of petrol.
The battered wreck went up for auction last week where it was expected to fetch between £80,000 and £100,000.
But a bidding war between two British classic car collectors saw it sell for £207,866 at Sandown Park in Esher, Surrey.
Laurence Sayers-Gillan, managing director of Barons auctioneers who handled the sale, said the price ”exceeded all expectations.”
He said: ”Considering how it was stored the car is amazingly sound and comes complete with the original logbook, workshop manuals and service history.
Cars like this come onto the market very rarely and the association with David Brown, who is a historic figure for Aston Martin, attracted a lot of interest.”

Mercedes-Benz has released the first TV commercial for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
“It’s the universal gesture, a way of telling the world you ‘did it’ without saying a word,” the narrator of this commercial says. And to prove his point, we’re treated to clips of people – some famous, some not so – raising their arms in a sign of victory and triumph. Yep, there’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Muhammad Ali, Michelle Kwan, and Roger Federer raising their arms in sheer joy.
Then, the video cuts to the Mercedes SLS AMG opening its gullwing doors. You don’t need to be Einstein to figure out what the symbolism behind that is.
Ford has officially revealed the 2012 Mustang Boss 302 and Boss 302 Laguna Seca. The cars are inspired by the classic 1969 model.
Power is generated by a revised version of the Mustang GT’s 5.0 litre V8 powerhouse. It produces 440 bhp and 515 Nm of torque thanks to a new intake, a quad exhaust, and modified camshafts.
To ensure a nice sporty ride, Ford added higher-rate coil springs and stiffer suspension bushings. In addition, these models also get a speed-sensitive electronic steering system (with three modes: Comfort, normal and sport), defeatable traction control / electronic stability control systems, and adjustable shocks (with five manual settings) and struts.
Other cool performance stuff include a race-inspired clutch, a short-throw six-speed manual transmission, and a Brembo front braking system.

The stunningly powerful Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport may have set a new world speed record a couple of weeks ago at the VW Group’s Ehra-Lessein proving grounds in Germany, but (as it turns out) the supercar is still being tested on normal roads. Our colleaguesatDiariomotor came across an undisguised example of the Super Sport hanging out with two more “standard” Veyrons somewhere in Spain and made this amazing video.
This special edition Veyron Super Sport comes with four enlarged turbochargers and super-size intercoolers pushing the output of the 8.0-liter W16 engine to a mind-boggling 1200 bhp and 1500 Nm of peak torque.
Even though the Super Sport was clocked at 431.07 km/h (268 mph) in Germany, the production model’s top speed will be electronically limited to 415 km/h (258.1 mph) to protect the tires. The flagship Veyron model will go into production in a limited series this fall.
