Rumour has it that Porsche is working on a 500bhp limited edition of the Porsche 911 GT3.
Our French colleagues at Caradisiac are suggesting the upgraded GT3 RS would be limited to a production run of just 500 units. No further details on the car have surfaced until now, but - considering the GT3 RS is already a finely tuned car - don’t expect much in the way of changes besides the additional displacement and power.
Next month the 2010 Paris Auto Show shall take place, so we’ll see if the rumours are true…
If you didn’t want to uglify the dashboard in your classic Porsche with one of those modern satellite navigations, then Porsche has the perfect solution for you now: a sat nav which fits into the radio slot. How sweet is that?!
Starting in October 2010, owners will be able to retrofit their cars with the Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System (Part # 911 645 910 00), which packages a display screen fitted into a form factor that is an exact fit for the original factory radio’s location. Round knobs keep appearances in line with that classic Porsche aesthetic, but the technology is purely 21st century.
The unit will retail for €595,00 plus VAT (around $776 USD before taxes at current exchange rates).
If you’ve always been of the opinion that the Maserati GranTurismo had too much luxury and too little sport aspects, you’d be happy to know that the people at Modena share your opinion and changed it.
The company has revealed the 2011 MC Stradale which is described as the “fastest, lightest and most powerful car in the Maserati range.” Drawing inspiration from the Tofeo Race Car, the Stradale features an aerodynamic body kit, a revised suspension for “razor-sharp handling” and high performance brakes.
Power comes from a 4.7-liter V8 with 450 bhp. It enables the car to hit a top speed in excess of 300 km/h (186 mph).
On 11 September 2010 AmericanMuscle had it’s second annual car show. Over 500 of the ‘baddest’ looking Mustangs came to Kimberton, PA for what some are calling the best Mustang show of the year.
There were thousands of people in attendance, over 500 Mustangs, and thousands of dollars raised for charity. Let’s take a look at the final figures:
Total # of Mustangs: 524
Total # of People: Over 1700
Final Charity Amount Raised: $14,825
% of People Who Had a Great Time: 100%!
Not only were all of the donations and attendance records broken, we had some of the hottest, loudest and baddest Mustangs in the country show up. There were great prizes and trophies awarded for Best in Class, Specialty, Club Participation and more.
Porsche has revealed a new supercar in the 911 model range. The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS wide body has a 3.8-litre engine with 402 bhp closes the gap between the Carrera S with 380 bhp and the 911 GT3 with 429 bhp. The increase in power comes from a redesigned intake manifold with six vacuum-controlled tuning flaps for optimized power and torque geometry compared to the one tuning flap in the Carrera S.
As for the exterior, upgrades include SportDesign front bumper with lip spoiler and special sideskirts, both painted in black, and the Carrera GTS graphics on the doors and rear lid.
The 911 Carrera GTS will first be available in the German market in December, with a price tag of €104,935 for the Coupe and €115,050 for the Cabriolet.

Runimation Studios on behalf of Pagani Automobili has released this stunning new video for the Pagani Zonda Tricolore.
The Zonda Tricolore was created as a tribute to the Italian National Aerobatic Team known as Frecce Tricolori (meaning Tricolour Arrows in Italian).
While based on the Zonda Cinque, the Tricolore has some distinctive differences. The front end features special LED lights that look like the tail fin of an airplane. The Tricolore has a new air intake as well, in the shape of a small vertical fin on top of the engine cover. A clear blue lacquer coating and Frecce Tricori-mimicking strips running on the sides of the car complete the impressive body look.
Earlier this year, at the Geneva Auto Show, this Zonda Tricolore was unveiled with a price tag of €1.3 million.
