Performance tuner Shelby American has announced a new power upgrade package for the 2011 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake.
Shelby worked together with Ford Racing to increase the power output to 800 bhp, which is a whopping 75 bhp more than the 2010 Super Snake. In addition, new anthracite wheels, white stripes and new side scoops were added to further set the 2011 Super Snake apart from previous generations. If 800 bhp is a bit too much for you, the Super Snake is also available in a 660 bhp and a 750 bhp version.
The price tag of the 800 bhp package hasn’t been announced yet, but the 750 hp package is $30,245 including installation but without car.
Please find the Press Release after the break for full package details and specs.
On 11 September 2010 AmericanMuscle had it’s second annual car show. Over 500 of the ‘baddest’ looking Mustangs came to Kimberton, PA for what some are calling the best Mustang show of the year.
There were thousands of people in attendance, over 500 Mustangs, and thousands of dollars raised for charity. Let’s take a look at the final figures:
Total # of Mustangs: 524
Total # of People: Over 1700
Final Charity Amount Raised: $14,825
% of People Who Had a Great Time: 100%!
Not only were all of the donations and attendance records broken, we had some of the hottest, loudest and baddest Mustangs in the country show up. There were great prizes and trophies awarded for Best in Class, Specialty, Club Participation and more.

“GeigerCars has given a significant power increase to the Mustang Shelby GT500. The car’s output was pumped up from 540 PS (397 kW / 533 bhp) to an impressive 810 PS (596 kW / 799 bhp).
Top speed on the car is now 354 km/h (220 mph). Sprint times were not revealed in the press release.
Torque on the 5.4-liter V8 engine was increased up to 945 Nm (697 lb-ft). The power improvements are in part due to a 3.3-liter compressor which puts out 1.6 bar pressure. Other performance enhancers include better air flow, new cylinder heads, more coolers, bigger throttle valves, and upgraded fuel injection.
The car’s transmission was modified to be able to take the extra power, and a three-disc carbon clutch was also used. Large 380 mm drilled brake discs were added, along with six-piston calipers.
Other changes made to the car included a new racing chassis. OZ alloys were added, measuring 8.5×20″ at the front and 10×20″ in back. Wheels are wrapped in high performance Michelin tires.
Pricing on the GeigerCars version of the Shelby GT500 Mustang has not been disclosed.”
